Offerings
THE TUTU INSTITUTE can provide pilgrimage, retreat or quiet day facilitation for self-formed groups. Individuals may participate in Institute sponsored pilgrimages, retreats or quiet days.
PILGRIMAGE
‘A Pilgrimage is a bold and intentional opening of ourselves to receive and respond to sacred realities which are distinctly different from prior experiences we have had. On PILGRIMAGE we chose the challenge of stepping outside of our comfort zone to
be stretched and transformed...and so discover new depths of the holy, both within ourselves and in all that touches us.’
The Rt. Rev. Chilton Knudsen, Board Member
RETREAT A time for study, a time for rest, a time for reflection and prayer; time to be alone with God...
The Institute offers directed retreats that may last from two days to a week or longer. A themed retreat offers the opportunity to study a single idea in depth.
QUIET DAY A Quiet Day is a day-long, mini-retreat to explore a single idea or a selection from scripture.
ADULT FAITH FORMATION The Institute provides opportunities for adult faith formation: we offer classes and workshops on prayer discernment, spiritual enrichment and understanding the Christian faith.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION Spiritual Direction is holy companionship on the spiritual journey to a deeper relationship with God.
-
The Institute offers individual and group spiritual direction.
-
Individuals meet with a Spiritual Director once a month for prayer and reflection.
-
Groups meet together with a facilitator once each month for prayer and life reflection.
PRESENTATIONS
Rev. Tutu is available for speaking engagements on a variety of topics. Please send requests to invite@tutuinstitute.org.
